Beauty and the Beast

I love this painting. It's very gothic and romantic. The colors of grey, white, and black really compliment each other and the red line strokes from the woman contrast them beautifully. I think this picture is very deep and symbolic. I think it may represent the seductive beauty of a woman and how a man may be seduced by the woman's beauty, but come time, the woman tears the man's heart and soul to half and the man is left crying and screaming in agony as the woman leaves him because she sees something better, which is demonstrated as the woman leaves his mouth.
